                                                Wishing you a joyful Easter

Spring has finally come to Utah, though it snowed again this week

There are many beautiful ways to celebrate the Resurrection of Jesus Christ. Here are a few links to short videos:

If you have or have not already watched The Chosen, it is a must see: https://www.youtube.com/c/TheChosenSeries/live

Today was the beautiful funeral, celebration of the life of my daughter-in-law Fernanda's grandpa, Antonio Martins. (in Portuguese)

He leaves a large posterity as he moves on to the next life. These are his grand-children, minus spouses and their children. How wonderful to know that because of the Resurrection of Jesus Christ, we can be united eternally with our families.

I attended a wonderful international conference with speakers representing various groups helping with refugees, rescue of Afghan families, religious freedom, other humanitarian efforts. Emma Petty Addams in center is co-director of Mormon Women for Ethical Government. So many good people giving their best efforts.
I also enjoyed a wonderful ballet, and a heart wrenching musical,

and the BYU ballroom dancers' performance before going on their European tour next week. Above, the alumni, below, current dancers

It was fun to have Palo Alto friends Julia and Robin Jacobsen stay a few days to visit new baby boy (son of Brandon and Lauren Jacobsen)

Another fun concert. My friend Ramona has convinced me (I think) to join in September this BYU sponsored orchestra which has encouraged middle aged and older folks who may not have played their musical instruments for years to take them up again! Some, like Sister Evans, never played a violin until 5 years ago. For those who know James and Jeannie Evans (whom I met in Palo Alto several years ago), these are James' parents. The world is SO small.

The pear and plum blossoms have finally arrived in Utah, though we had snow again this week, which delayed my fence staining. Instead of gardening, I have spent more time in our beautiful temple, with friends, and at lectures and other events, of which there is no end!

I wish you a joyful Easter. I look forward to spending it with my family tomorrow. Peace in this troubled world is very tenuous, but we can have hope for brighter days and keep those who suffer in our prayers and find ways to connect harmoniously with others. We can be kind, forgive, give others the benefit of the doubt, and seek truth.
