Spring is finally here, with a little snow and then rain to help the flowers grow!
We still have an occasional snow, but this one melted after a day.Bridge, who plays the digital accordion (which can simulate an entire orchestra or individual instruments) and Wolak on the clarinet, both excellent pianists also, are an amazing duo, very talented and funny. The played classical, jazz, folk, etc.
Last concert of the year, the BYU Singers were as fantastic as ever
Emily planned a belated Easter egg hunt and games before the family came to my house for dinner. We got almost everyone, so had to take a photo. Finally we have warmer, sunnier weather in Provo.
Wonderful, up-beat Americana and bluegrass concert by the local Wasatch chorale

So fun to get together with my good friend Marilyn and our daughters, Jannika and Julie who have also been close friends for so many years.
Hank and Colette Taylor gathered our longtime Palo Alto, CA, friends together for dinner at their Provo Canyon cabin. Such a fun evening, and hard to believe the Taylors are in their nineties, still going strong!

Lorenzo Ghiberti's "Gates of Paradise" (1425-52, Florence, Italy) depicting Old Testament scenes for the doors of the Baptistry is magnificent! In 1984, BYU-Hawaii professor Jan Fisher bought the plaster cast, which was brought to BYU Provo's Museum of Art in 2016. Its recent restoration, gilding and finishing by BYU students honors Ghiberti's enduring artistry and vision. If you have a chance, stop by the MOA to see the wonderful display with explanations!
My new neighbors across the street: Abraham on the left, George (Washington) on the right. They are not aware of the future for steers!
"This little light of mine, I'm gonna let it shine"with a lively band, after a church brunch.
And a very special Happy Mother's Day wish to all mothers and mother figures. In 2026, most European countries will celebrate Mother’s Day on Sunday May 10th (the second Sunday in May), including Germany, Italy, Austria, and the Netherlands. Also in Mexico and other Latin American countries. However, the UK and Ireland celebrate earlier on March 15th, and France celebrates on May 31st.
I am so grateful to my mother, grandmothers and all the female role models I have and have had in my life. And to my daughters and daughters-in-law who are raising my grandchildren. Thank you!!!
And congratulations to all our 2026 graduates. It's a busy time of year!
