The sun sets on another month....September has flown by!
My daughter Julie and I enjoyed the Springville Art Museum's annual quilt show, the Fairbanks Family (10 sons and one daughter, most were artists), Russian, Utah and other artists' exhibit
Lundberg Clark was a brilliant "maximalist" as Julie and I decided we were too! We have no extra wall space in our homes!
Philip Henry Barkdull's Symphony in Color, 1930
These are a few of the Russian paintings: above, Girls just graduating from high school

Annual Family Fun Carnival sponsored by My Hometown Initiative Provo was lots of fun and attended by nearly 1000?! At 6:30 it started to rain and everyone quickly dispersed! Above, the Franklin School chorus is waiting to sing. Miss Utah and Miss Provo (MC) are piano teachers with our program and attended the event.
This little girl was terrified to have her face painted!
Pizza, hot dogs, ice cream, drinks, games with prizes, music, mariachi band, and more made for a fun evening
I was delighted to run into Yuber Miranda whom I knew when he was working as secretary in the Guayaquil Ecuador Temple. He and his family moved from Ecuador (temporarily??)so he could earn an MBA at BYU.
It was a cold end of September morning as we drove to Soldier Hollow (venue for some of Salt Lake Olympics, Winter 2002)
Simon (just turning 14 on Sept. 25) and dad, Marc (who rides with them in practices) before the race
So nice to see middle school and high school girls racing!
At the start of the race, Simon, in front because in the last race he came in third of about 50 of the first year riders
Simon coming in on the home stretch
After the race with parents and grandparents
Mount Timpanogos (with the snow from last week when we got cold rain in the valley) and autumn colors driving back through Provo Canyon to Provo
Hannah's grandmother Sandra gave her some bright pink heels!
Simon is 14, Hannah is now sweet 16
